Orchids Forever at Cleveland Botanical Garden

We had a special mom & son night out at the sneak peek of Orchids Forever at Cleveland Botanical Garden, and it was amazing! The orchids were beautiful (of course!), and the atmosphere was warm and so serene. I love seeing the different types of exotic orchids arranged over and around the pergolas.

This year’s show features thousands of orchids with species like Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, and Oncidium in hues of pink, purple, orange, and yellow—the sky’s color palette — designed to emulate the colors during sunrise and sunset. 💛

After the last few weeks of snow and ice, we loved escaping the Cleveland weather and stepping inside the enchanting beauty of the Cleveland Botanical Garden. It really feels like walking through an oasis!

The glasshouse has always been my son’s favorite. It feels so tropical and otherworldly inside. My favorite part was slowly strolling around with my son while listening to the birds sing. It was so peaceful. 🌺

Orchids are available for purchase inside the garden store, so be sure to stop by before leaving. They’re so pretty!

There was also a cool traveling exhibit on display called “Life in One Cubic Foot,” where you get to become a citizen scientist. This temporary exhibit is located in Clark Hall. 🔬

The temporary exhibition follows the initial research from Smithsonian scientists, additional research from Holden Arboretum scientists, and photography from David Liittschwager, as they discover what a cubic foot of land or water—a biocube—reveals about the diversity of life on the planet.

Orchids Forever: Golden Hour will open to the public on Saturday, January 27, and be open through Sunday, March 17.
