Be inspired and venture into the world of storytelling with artist Kobe Saunders (opens in a new tab). Work in the company of others to develop your own style and collaborate! 

Explore the long history of sequential art through various genres and cultures, including newspaper comic strips, American superhero comics and graphic novels, Japanese manga, and media adaptations (film and television) of these stories. Practice techniques to improve drawing and storytelling skills with a focus in character design, visual language, and panel structure.

Calling all ghouls and goblins, princesses and superheroes—Crocker Park’s annual Tricks & Treats Halloween celebration is back and better than ever! 🎃 Join us on Saturday, October 25 from 12–3pm for an afternoon of freespooky fun, sweet treats, and family-friendly entertainment you won’t want to miss.

Our Tricks & Treats event is perfect for families looking to enjoy the Halloween spirit in a safe, walkable, and exciting outdoor setting. Kids are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their candy buckets for trick-or-treatingthroughout the property. Participating stores and vendors will have pumpkin decals in their windows—just follow the trail of pumpkins and collect goodies (while supplies last)!

Heights Halloween Festival to be held on Saturday, October 18th from 3pm to 6pm in the Cedar Lee District of Cleveland Heights.

The Heights Halloween Festival is free and open to Halloween-lovers and trick-or-treaters of all ages. This event includes the traditional “candy crawl” along the Cedar Lee District, where businesses hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, with many employees dressing up for the holiday. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the festivities.

The festival also includes activities and performances for the entire family including stages where actors in costume greet attendees for photos. Characters expected to be featured this year are from Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters, The Little Mermaid and more. There will be performances from Wizbang Circus and large scale puppets from Robin Van Lear as well as face painting, balloon twisting, temporary tattoos, games, and other free attractions

“Children and families are invited to a fun fishing event along the Ohio and Erie Canal just down the hill from CanalWay Center. Rainbow trout and catfish will be stocked prior to the event. Hands on exploration stations will provide opportunities for families to learn fishing skills or test their knowledge. Fishing will be open to anglers of all ages. Anyone age 16 years and older must have a current Ohio Fishing License to fish. Prizes will be awarded in several fishing categories for youth ages 15 years and younger. Wagon rides are tractor-drawn and are offered on a first-come, first served basis and leave approximately every half hour. Wagons can be covered and operate rain or shine.
