Things to do this weekend with kids in cleveland | march 1 - 3

1. HOME DEPOT Kids’ Workshop Saturday March 2

The first Saturday of the month Home Depot has a free in-store workshop for kids.

Each kid receives a craft to build, an apron, and a pin that has a little picture of the craft of the month.

The crafts usually require them to use hammers, screwdrivers, and paintbrushes. All provided by Home Depot in-store.  These projects typically take us between 30 minutes and 45 minutes.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the first Saturday of each month.

Some Home Depot’s do require registration, so be sure to check before going.

2. $2 Saturday Movies at Regal Cinemas

Regal is making it easier than ever to plan a fun Saturday morning with your kids! On Saturdays, they’re showing some of your favorite family movies — like The Super Mario Bros. Movie or Harry Potter — for just $2 a ticket at the first showtime of the day. More info is available here.

3. STEM SUNDAY: AMPHIBIANS at North Chagrin Nature Center Sunday, March 3

Drop by during the listed hours and learn why this is an important time for our local amphibians! Meet some of these live animals and do a hands-on activity to learn more about the science behind these secretive creatures. Available hours are 1:00pm - 4:00pm. More info can be found via WKYC here.

We especially love going to Nature Centers during the winter months. Particularly because it can be hard to find ways to get out with your kids when the weather is cold. Nature Centers are often free, and they're indoors, making for a great, low-cost adventure outing. You can find a list of our favorites here.
