5 Of Our Favorite Ice Cream Shops in Cleveland

Sweeties Ice Cream

Who Wants Ice Cream?

The temperature is rising in Cleveland, which means my crew is jonesing for ice cream! I don't know about you, but I can't think of anything better on a hot summer day than an ice cream cone, sundae, or ice cream bar.

Cleveland has so many great ice cream shops & parlors! It's really hard to narrow it down to just a few.

On this list, you'll find 5 of our go-to places for ice cream. We love to explore and find new shops, but if it's a last-minute decision, or we have a special craving, you'll probably find us at one of these places.

Here they are (in no particular order).

NOTE: not every place on this list has indoor seating. If you want to sit inside, it's best to call ahead to see if seating is available.

The Ice Cream List

1. Mason's Creamery - Cleveland

Ice cream Cleveland

Mason's Creamery is one of the trendiest, tastiest places on our list. It's a bit off of the beaten path, which makes it all the more an adventure. They don't have any indoor seating (though there's plenty of patio seating), but even though this list is for places with indoor seating, I just couldn't leave it off of our list of favorites.

They make small batches of ice cream with traditional and unique (cap'n'crunch, anyone?) flavors and their egg waffle cones are simply the best. Each and every flavor we've ever tried left us wanting more.

2. Mitchell's Ice Cream
-Cleveland (and all over!)

If my husband had his way, we'd only ever go to Mitchell's. Seriously.  He swears the bing cherry chocolate chunk is one of America's greatest contributions to the world. I know. He's pretty ridiculous.

But the ice cream at Mitchell's really is worth writing home about!

This Cleveland staple has been around for years. No matter which location you visit, you'll be treated to their incredible flavors and welcoming atmosphere.

3. Brayson's Ice Cream Parlor - Parma

Sweeties Ice Cream

We absolutely adore this little parlor in Parma. There's isn't much seating inside (but the bar seating is so cute!) so don't count on sitting inside. Even still -- their ice cream is packed with flavor and has the perfect texture. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus when you have two littles who are desperately trying to get higher to see all of the tasty options.PLUS there's an incredible mural across the street to gaze at while you eat your ice cream.

4. Sweeties Soda Shoppe - Cleveland

This parlor has the most fun potential on the list. It's located on the B.A. Sweeties grounds on Brookpark Rd. Here you'll also find putt-putt and the largest candy store in America! I could (have) spend WAY too much time just in the candy store. 🤦‍♀️Sweeties Soda Shoppe has sundaes, cones, parfaits, and milkshakes. There are plenty of options for everyone in the family. Plus the barn-style atmosphere and ample seating make it the perfect place for a large get-together with friends and family.

That's it for now! We hope you have some great adventures exploring all that Cleveland has to offer when it comes to ice cream.

P.S. This is not a sponsored post. We just love all of these shoppes & parlors!

P.P.S We'll be doing more ice cream tours this summer. Have a place we need to check out? Leave a comment below or DM us on Instagram and we'll add it to our list.
