AWESOME KID-FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS AROUND CLEVELAND

Who loves dining out!?

My husband and I, do—that’s for sure! After having kids, though, dining out became much more difficult. Rather than picking restaurants based on what we were in the mood for, we started picking restaurants based on whether or not we thought our kids would have a meltdown in the middle of our meal. 🤪

Thankfully, over the years, we’ve been able to find some amazing local restaurants that provide great environments for kids while simultaneously having delicious menus. We plan to keep adding to this list, so keep checking back!

KID-FRIENDLY RESTAURANT LIST

BOURBON STREET BARREL ROOM
2393 Professor Ave,
Cleveland, OH 44113
(See it on instagram)

First up is one of my personal favorites, The Bourbon Street Barrel Room.

I love the New Orleans–inspired decor & cuisine. The kids thought the restaurant was so fun. We even got to eat upstairs (which they thought was extra special).

They have a crazy awesome happy hour that includes two of my favorite menu items: jambalaya and hush puppies. We arrived early (5pm) to beat the dinner rush since it does get pretty full.

I also love that the kids' menu includes an entree, a side, a drink, AND BEIGNETS!!! All for only $8.95

DEWEY’S PIZZA
18516 Detroit Avenue,
Cleveland, Ohio 44107

Dewey's Pizza

This has been our go-to kid-friendly restaurant since our kids were little littles.

The chefs are always so fun and interactive with the kids!

This past time the chef was even playing tic-tac-toe with all of the kids through the window. It was so cute, and they had so much fun.

Dewey’s offers gluten-free and dairy-free options, and they make my absolute favorite pizza—the Edgar Allan Poe.

After dinner, we ordered cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious! I love that they source their dessert from local bakeries around town.

If you’re looking for great pizza, and a relaxed and fun environment, I highly recommend checking out Dewey’s Pizza.

Deweys has 3 locations here in Northeast Ohio. Cleveland Heights, Lakewood, and Fairlawn.

PJ MCyntire’s PUB
17119 Lorain Ave,
Cleveland, OH 44111

(I know—a kid-friendly pub?! 🤣)

This is probably our favorite kids’ menu. It’s only $3.99 a kid, and it’s actually good food and comes with a lot of it.

My son said it was the best burger he’s ever had, and my daughter enjoyed her nuggets and fries. That’s saying a lot for her since she’s usually picky when we go out.

I got wings, and my husband had a burger. We both really enjoyed our meals. Especially the house-made potato chips.😋

The pub is large, so there was plenty of seating when we went. We personally like the pub setting since it tends to be louder, and then we don’t feel as bad if our kids are a little loud. 😆

We also liked that there was a paper kids’ menu and crayons to keep the kids busy.

The pub is really cool inside, and both my kids thought it was fun to look at the mural on the wall.

When it’s cold, they also have a really nice fireplace.

We’ll keep adding kid-friendly restaurants to the blog, so feel free to share some of your favorites with us!

Cozumel Mexican restaurant
16512 DETROIT AVE,
LAKEWOOD, OH 44107
(

My kids don’t really like mexican food, so they stick with chicken fingers and burgers. They really like them. My husband is the adventurous one who will bounce around the menu. He loves Cozumel, too.

Here are just a few things our family loves about Cozumel.

-Complimentary chips and salsa come out right away. They keep my kids from complaining they’re hungry until the food comes. And their salsa is soooo good. ✔️

-Each Cozumel location (they have 6!) is a decent size, and we’re normally seated right away. ✔️

-The food is fresh and fast! We all know kids don’t last too long at a restaurant (just mine? 🤣), so speediness is a double plus in my book lol. ✔️

-Kids menu with crayons 🖍️ ✔️

-High chairs ✔️

-Louder atmosphere. I don’t have to worry about my kids disturbing others. ✔️

-Kids meals are only $5.99 ✔️ 💰.

That's it for now! We hope you get some good eats and enjoy dining in our great city of Cleveland!
