1. Mitchell’s | Ohio City Location
We love Mitchell’s (my husband’s favorite) ice cream, and their two-story-high Ohio City location is especially unique. This location also houses their ice cream factory. What’s really cool about that is you can actually watch the ice cream being made, which is obviously a favorite with our kids. Mitchell’s has a large variety of flavors, including vegan options.
2. Dairy Grove - | North Ridgeville
Next up, we've got Dairy Grove – where the ice cream's as cool as the playground vibes. Dairy Grove has great ice cream, and they partner with local businesses to create fun offerings like their donut ice cream sandwiches.
We love that they have a playground where the kids can play and run off all their extra energy after they finish their ice cream.
3. Malley’s Chocolates | North Olmsted Location
Ever wanted to eat ice cream on a carousel? Well, now you can at Malley's Chocolates in Lakewood! It's like stepping back in time with every scoop, and the carousel adds an extra sprinkle of fun to the whole experience.
We love, love, love the old-fashioned vibe at this location. It’s super cute and fun, and the sundaes make for an extra-special treat.
4. Sweetie’s Soda Shoppe | Cleveland
What’s not to love about an old-fashioned ice cream shop with rope swings? A bonus for Sweetie’s is that it’s also attached to one of the world’s largest candy stores, and there’s a candy-themed seasonal putt-putt course right next to the store.
My kids love to get the self-serve options with the unlimited toppings bar.
5. Rosso Gelato in Little Italy
For a taste of Italy right here in Cleveland, head over to Rosso Gelato in Little Italy. Their gelato is so smooth and refreshing, it'll transport you to the streets of Rome. They even have a Vespa Scooter located in the window. The gelato is smooth, refreshing, and made on location.
Craving something a little out of the ordinary? Swing by Remixx for a wild ride of flavors! They've got ice cream and cereal combos that'll blow your mind, with enough toppings to make your head spin. Remixx is an ice cream AND cereal bar. Because who doesn’t love ice cream and cereal?!
There are over 50 different toppings available, which means there are endless combinations for your family to test out their mad-scientist ice cream skills.
Indulge your sweet tooth at Crepescape, where bubble waffle ice cream steals the show. Crepescape is my son’s favorite ice cream shop. He loves the bubble waffle ice cream. My personal favorite at Crepescape are the waffle sticks (they’re sooo good!).

Last but not least, we've got Pop Culture – where popsicles are the name of the game. They make all of their popsicles and have plenty of vegan options. These pops are a refreshing treat on a hot day. They also offer a wide variety of desserts, such as edible cookie dough, Poffertjes (mini Dutch pancakes), ice cream cookie sandwiches, and more.
The shop is super cute with seating on the second floor. The second floor can also be rented out for events like birthday parties.
