Free Mini Golf in Parma
I've been wanting to take the kids to play mini golf for a while now, but I wasn’t sure my 3-year-old would last very long. I didn't want to spend money at a course and then only be able to play a hole or two before she was done.
Thankfully, I came across a FREE mini golf course awhile back (that I forgot about until last week 🤪). All you need to do is bring your own clubs and golf balls. Which didn't bother me at all, since it gave me a great excuse to make a quick Target run (I'll take any excuse I can get!) to pick up a little golf club set. I found a plastic set for $8.99 that worked perfectly.
The mini golf course is located at James Day Park (formerly known as Nike Park) in Parma, right next to the pool behind the pavilion.
My kids absolutely loved it! There are 9 holes total and each has little challenges like sandtraps, hills, and sharp turns. We started out trying to play a regular game with the four of us, but sure enough, my daughter was done after one hole. Which was no problem, since it was free!
My husband stayed with our son and they played all 9 holes. I took my daughter around to the different holes and let her hit the ball around for fun. She didn't care about keeping score. She just loved hitting the ball and watching it roll around. ❤️
This free mini golf course made for a perfect family evening. After we were done, we walked over to the treehouse playground just a couple of hundred yards away.
After playing on the playground for a bit, we discovered ANOTHER cool feature of this park. There's a walking space trail that allows you to scan QR codes with your camera app. When you do, a video will pop up that tells you fun facts about the planets. How cool is that?!

It's another beautiful 9 hole course with a great playground next to it. There's also a free disc golf course on the grounds. If you've yet to try disc golf, I recommend adding it to your summer bucket list. ☀️
