Get ready to show your love of trees in honor of this year’s Arbor Day on Friday, April 26, 2024. The Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Holden Arboretum celebrate the planting and care of trees every day of the year, but especially during April when spring is in the air. ENJOY FREE ADMISSION – Holden Fherets & Gardens is offering free admission to both the Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Holden Arboretum on Arbor Day, Friday April 26. Bring family, friends, or just yourself to enjoy a day immersed in nature at either campus. The Botanical Garden will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and the Arboretum will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Advance tickets are not required.

The community art center is FREE and open every weekend to help families and individuals of all ages connect to art and expression. You can stop in with your family to explore artwork and make free crafts in the art studios

3. Family Friday Night: Bats At Twilight Friday, April 26
Help naturalist Nicole Hindman welcome back our sleepy and migratory bat friends as they take to the skies hunting mosquitos and other insects! One by one, they'll drop out of our bat condo and you'll be able to see their silhouettes flying over your head. We will be using new technology that should allow us to hear and identify the species based on their echolocation. We will have marshmallows available to roast as we watch the show.

6. Floral Immersive Exhibition at the Downtown Public Library Friday April 26 - Sunday, April 28
The Archive is a breathtaking installation composed of thousands of delicate flowers suspended in a display that celebrates the beauty of life. When you’re done checking out the flowers, be sure to walk around this beautiful historic library. They have a great kids space and they have one of the world’s tiniest books. Kids (and adults!) can use a magnifying glass to see the teeny tiny print in the book.

7. Food Court Friday Bingo at Great Northern Mall
Join Great Northern Mall for Bingo! Grab a bite to eat, play bingo, and win prizes! Bingo takes place on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month during the lunch hour from 12 PM-1 PM.
