Legoland Florida With Kids
You guys--Legoland Florida BLEW US AWAY!My kids' have been asking to go back to Legoland since we visited Legoland Columbus last year. We decided we'd try to step it up for their birthdays' this year by visiting Legoland Florida.I have so much to say--and I'll start with WOW!This park was so fantastic, and there was so much to do that we could have easily spent a second day in the park. When we arrived, my kids were full of excitement. They basically danced their way into the entrance 💃 🤣. There were huge Lego displays when we walked in, including a life-sized Santa with his sleigh and a giant birthday cake made out of Legos to celebrate their 10th Anniversary. The first ride we hopped on was the double-decker carousel 🎠. Carousels are one of my daughter's favorite rides. She never saw one with a second level, so she was really excited!
After that, we made our way to Duploland, and they rode a life-size Duplo train.
Next, we rode the kids' first-ever roller coaster. Now they're both convinced they're ride warriors. 🎢
Legoland Florida is so much more than just awesome rides. They also have play areas for all ages, a splash pad, lego shops & build rooms, 3D movies, a botanical garden--and, of course--Lego Mini Land.
One of my kids' favorite play areas was this cool foam ball shooting room. It was kind of set up like a treehouse. You shoot down from the top at the people loading the balls to be flown up. It's not a huge area, and you can only exit the ball room from the front of the structure, so it was easy for us to keep an eye on the kids (and gave us a minute to relax 🤣). Honestly, I think they could have spent hours just at this specific play area.
There are over twenty-five amusement rides here. We didn't get to every ride, but we rode a lot of them. I want to tell you about my kids' favorites. My son's favorite ride was The Great Lego Race Rollercoaster. He rode with my husband, and at the bottom of the first hill, he shouted out, "I almost just lost my lunch!" 🤣 At the end of the coaster, he was begging my husband to go again.
My daughter had two favorite rides. The first was The Battle of Bricksburg. You ride in a big boat and shoot water guns at targets as you move. There's also an area for people walking on the boardwalk to shoot you with water.
Her second favorite ride was The Lego Movie Masters of Flight 4d Simulator. I thought this one was very cool. You get to ride with Emmett on his triple-decker couch through Lego World--it's very impressive! Just be careful if you get motion sickness easily.
What I loved about Legoland (other than how great the rides and attractions were) was that it never felt overcrowded. I don't think we waited longer than 20 minutes for any rides, which was a HUGE win for my 5-year-old. She struggled with the long lines at Disney 😬.
We didn't stay at their hotel this time, but it's right by the park entrance--which I'm sure would be super awesome. We only saw it from the outside, but it looks super cute and fun. Next time we go, we're going to try to check it out.The weather wasn't quite warm enough for the water park, which was okay. We had plenty to do, and now we have an excuse to come back in the summer (and to go back to visit Peppa Pig Land coming in 2022!)If you'd like to find out more about Legoland Florida, click here!
